Yes, to live a life of peace, love and success, self love and self care is very important.
Now, what is self care? Is it taking care of the body, going to parlours, going to gym? Yes of course, these come under self care. But there are things which need to be given more priority than these.

Let’s talk about five steps of self care.
First step – Appreciate yourself.
Yes, appreciating yourself is the first and foremost self care activity which you can do for yourself. In this way, your mind will be satisfied and provide you with everything needed for a bright future. So, make it a daily habit that when you come out of the bath, appreciate yourself. Say three good things about yourself. Things that make you feel happy and proud of yourself. Say random sweet things about yourself. Be spontaneous! Example, if you are standing in front of the mirror, you can say, “oh, wow, I am looking so beautiful.” It can be anything that gives you happiness.

Second step – Talk to your own self.
You’re your own best friend. When you talk to yourself, all that is stuck up inside you, come out. You feel relieved and feel more open to think and plan new things in life. So talk more to your own self. Stand in front of the mirror and act as if you are inside the mirror and outside the mirror is somebody else. Also, daydreaming is helpful. Try it.“

Third step – Listening and singing with music.
Do this together, listening to music and singing along with it. That is the biggest and simplest meditation. It gives you strength and power. Do this everyday at least for 5 to 10 minutes. It helps in building your self confidence and also increases joy within which is very healthy and essential in this stressful world.
Fourth step – Appreciate others.
When you appreciate others, you also get appreciation. This increases your power. So, when you appreciate people, you energize yourself. So, appreciate others more. Never miss a chance to appreciate other people or things. Here also, be authentic and spontaneous.
Fifth step – Write good and bad things
Every night, write three good things which you have done for yourself or others. In the same way, write three bad things. Basically, write the summary of your entire day. But yes, do not maintain a diary. Write in a piece of paper, read it aloud and then tear it off and throw it. Do not preserve it. It’s very important. If you preserve, it will become your habit and the negatives written in papers will never leave you, It will be you. Same way, your positives will stick with you and never change. So make it a point to tear it off and throw it. We need to increase your positives and decrease your negatives.
